Natures Way Metabolic Reset Shake Review

Natures Way Metabolic ReSet Shake Review

I’m always trying different ways to help me lose weight.  I recently gained back about 15 pounds while on vacation and then the following weeks while things were pretty chaotic.  My sister was preparing for her gastric sleeve surgery and was drinking nothing but her protein shakes for weeks, so I decided if she could survive on them, I should be able to as well. I’d heard a lot about the Natures Way Metabolic Reset Shakes and decided to it them a try.  This particular product is made to help curb appetite which is where I have most of my struggle. I ordered the chocolate flavor and just finished off my canister this morning….so now I’m sharing my thoughts.Natures Way Metabolic ReSet Shake Review

My very first impression was a negative.  When I opened up the canister, I was extremely disappointed at how full it wasn’t!  It was literally just about 2/3 full.  I think it’s really misleading. Especially given that a serving is 2 scoops, so a full container isn’t going to last but a couple of weeks.  I had 1 shake each morning for the last 3 weeks (missed some mornings, and some days had a second shake in the evening).

As far as taste, it’s actually not bad.  I used a Blender Bottle (I highly recommend these if you drink shakes that need to be mixed up), and mixed my powder with 2% milk.  I had no problem at all drinking these, as the taste was great compared to other protein shakes.  I will say that these did give me a slight feeling of indigestion (heart burn) but I think that is more from the milk, I’m starting to think I’m slightly lactose intolerant.

My biggest dieting problem is my appetite, and these shakes did help with that.  I would drink a shake in the morning and I generally wouldn’t feel hungry until later in the afternoons so it does do what it claims in that area.  In the 3 weeks I’ve been using it, I’ve lost about 6 pounds so that’s a plus.

Overall, I’d give this a 3 out of a 5, mainly because of the volume of powder actually in the container and the fact that the servings are 2 scoops.  However, other dietary aids I’ve tried normally cost $40-$60 a month to maintain, so this is about average when you think about it.  I will probably purchase this again, but in vanilla next time so I can use it more in more ways.

Pros:

  • Worked like it said with appetite control
  • Tastes good
  • Mixes well

Cons:

  • Amount of powder in container is less than desirable

You can purchase the Natures Way Metabolic ReSet powder at Amazon for around $22-$24 in 3 flavors:

  • Chocolate
  • Strawberry
  • Vanilla

Have you ever tried Metabolic ReSet?  If so what did you think?

Hi Linda, this is a great powder shake, I’ve also tried the Right Size Smoothies that in my opinion work even better than this and it tastes AMAZING. Keeps you full as well. You might look into that too.
