Have you ever been left with no way to pay something important due to un-forseen circumstances?  That is exactly what happened to me this last month.  It’s during times like this that a short term loan can definitely come in handy. That’s what Check Into Cash provides.

This past month has been emotionally, physically, as well as financially draining on my and my little household. The end of November, my 16 year old son was burned pretty severely from a grease fire, and since then our world has kind of been turned upside down. The night he was hurt, everything seemed to happen so fast, and it was terrifying to say the least. He was treated in our local ER and then flown out to Dallas to a burn unit which is about 4 hours from our home. I drove as fast as I could to get to Dallas that night so I could be there when he landed, and all I could think about was my little boy and how I would give anything, and I do mean ANYTHING to have been able to trade places with him.

The pain I could see on his face was heartbreaking because there was nothing I could do to take it away but hold his hand and be there for him. It’s really a parent’s worst nightmare for anything bad to happen to our children and I was a complete wreck.  Night after night I watched him sleep and prayed for the pain to ease up never even once stopping to think about what this was going to do to me financially.  It was the last thing on my mind, and at that point I would have sold everything and anything I owned to make sure he received proper care.

Over the next week while he was in the hospital, I managed to burn through every single cent I’d managed to put back for Christmas for my kids. It wasn’t until about a week and a half ago that it even dawned on me that Christmas was already about here because my mind had been so focused on Ethan’s care and my other 3 kiddos at home. That’s when it hit me, what am I going to do now? I barely had enough now to pay my bills for the month. During the time he was hospitalized and even home, his care was round the clock, and dressing changes are daily.  This left me unable to complete several jobs because I just didn’t have the time, nor the focus to complete them, so less income and zero Christmas gifts purchased yet.  I didn’t know what I was going to do.

My kids are amazing though, and they really don’t ask for a whole lot. My 3 oldest understand the situation and they would never hold it against me if they were to not get a whole lot for Christmas this year. My 6 year old is a different story! As a parent though, I couldn’t stand the thought of NOT being able to have at least a couple of things under the tree for them on Christmas morning.  Besides that, my son has already felt so badly about the money that’s had to be spent during this time and I know he would feel to blame if there were no Christmas.  Of course I’ve told him over and over again it is nothing for him to worry about and told him he put no strain on me, I just want him to focus on healing.  I had to do something though, so I sought out to try and find a loan company who would provide me with just a small amount that could be paid off quickly. I’ve never been big on getting loans because I absolutely dislike having any type of extra monthly payments.

Then I came across Check Into Cash and read over their site to see what they were about. Loans can be difficult for me to get since I don’t have the best credit. Most times that keeps me from even applying for one, and I’ll usually just figure another way to deal with extra expenses. Check Into Cash is a national leader in direct lending, providing customers with affordable, short-term, small dollar credit solutions. They have over 1,000 locations but I was able to get my loan all online.

The entire process was extremely easy to do and I was approved in minutes for just enough to provide a little Christmas for my kids, but not so much that I’d have to worry about not being able to pay it back. The money was deposited straight into my checking account the very next day. I’m scheduled for a one time payment and that’s the end of that. If you have a need for emergency cash with quick approval, you should definitely check out You can get approved for up to $1,000 (new customers can get up to $750). Rates do vary by state, and you can see which states Check Into Cash works with on their site.

Have you ever been in a tough situation where a quick cash loan would have helped?
